Right-click My Computer > Properties > General Tab. If the
20-character Product ID consists of entirely numbers, the installation
was performed using either a retail or Volume Licensed CD and Product
Key. An OEM license will contain the letters "OEM" in the Product ID.

Programmatically, scan the registry to read the value of
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProductID.

Just open the System applet in Control Panel. If you have an OEM version,
"OEM" will appear in the product ID listed in the Registered to: section.
