I've used my generic OEM Windows XP Home CD to re-install a couple of
systems, using the product keys supplied on the COAs of each machine. I
thought the case was now that in order to activate, you must speak to a MS
representative to get them to activate. BUt both times it's worked using the
automated phone process (keying in the Installation ID on the phone and then
entering the given code into the PC).
I'm slightly confused! One PC was a Time system, the other was HP.
