OE6 questions. experts needed!

Hi!

I have quick questions. Plz let me know any solutions.

1) I am using OE6 SP1 (OS: Windows 2000). When there are any new messages,
new message alert icon comes up on the system tray. That is fine. However,
some times even though there is no new message on the mailbox, the mark show
up on the system tray. What is happening? How can I solve the problem?

2) I don't like spam mails, so I set up message rules. If a mail contains
specific word, it just go to the "spam" mail box. There are so many words on
the rule now. I just wonder how many word I can add to the rule.

The answer to question 1 is what you are doing in question 2. You are
getting email that is being directed to the spam folder. It is new mail so
it will show as such.


Add what words you want to the message rule, I wouldn't put in more than 10
because it will take longer to go thru the words for each rule.
Additionally, you can leave off the Stop Processing More Rules on the rules
to get it to apply additional rules and use the Stop Processing on the last
rule you want applied.

Problem is that even though there are absolutely no new mails on the Spam
mailbox folder or any other mailbox folders, the new message icon shows up
on the system tray (down right corner).

Are you using a rule that deletes, moves or copies any of the mail coming in
at anytime?
