OE6 disconnects when I start it

I have Skype connected permanently and use Firefox but each time I start OE6,
it disconnects from the internet (Event ID 20159) and re-connects 12 seconds
later (Event ID 20158).
Can anyone explain this very annoying behaviour?

Start OE, Tools > Options > Connection (tab)

Ensure the settings here are correct.

Tools | Accounts
Do this for each account.\:
Select the account and click Properties.
On the Connection tab uncheck the box to "Always use ...".

Thank you. I've checked "never dial a connection" instead of "Dial whenever a
connection is not present" and, so far, that seems to be working.
