OE works, IE doesn't wk on one profile does on other

windows xp home, wireless connection to DSL, OE works, AOL works, IE works
with AOL, but does not work by itself, error is "The page cannot be
displayed".
IE works on my other user profile just fine. Any thoughts?

Hi,

Are you an AOL subscriber? It seems to me that AOL requires that their
software is running and connected before you launch IE.

AOL is not my ISP, my internet explorer works when I connect AOL to my ISP
first and then open internet explorer. When I try to open internet explorer
without using AOL as a bridge to the internet, it will not work. This is a
new problem. I always have connected directly to my ISP (DSL) just using
internet explorer. If I log in as a different user on my laptop, the other
user profile allows me to connect just using the internet explorer.

Any other thoughts? Thanks for the input.
