hi,
can any one help me to ask for a password when I open my OE

You might want to try the following:
In OE, go to File -> Identities and click on Manage Identities.
If Main Identity is the only entry, hit the Properties button.
Put a check mark in the box next to "Require a password".
Enter the password you wish to use twice.

Keep in mind that you should also have your Windows XP user
account password protected.

Good luck

Hi,

but this does not "really" protect your Outlook Express. You should work
with different
and restricted User Accounts on a XP System. The password thing is only for
diferent
Identities and nothing else. But if you are a programmer, you can write a
kind of "Watcher" or
Debugger that can handle a OE Launch Request and dispatch it. The
Application can check
a (encrypted) list of valid users against the current logged-on SAM User or
the User who wants to
use the OE and can ask for a username or password. I did this 2 years ago in
a business
environment, but i cant send you code, because it is not free and/or open
source. But this is the
best protection method in my opinion and can be applied against ANY
application.

Best Regards
