OE contacts: Who ARE these people??

M

Mikey the Quick

Work computer, runing Outlook Express 6, quite a long time now.
"Windows Messenger" icon appears in the tray while OE is running, what
is that for? Never used it before, don't get it on my home computer,
never paid attention to it! It goes away when I exit OE.

All of a sudden, new contacts are showing up, with messenger icons,
some are online, some are not. Some have e-mail addresses with my
domain, most don't have addresses.

Who ARE these people? If my boss thought for one second I was messing
around with this stuff, he'd have my butt!

I deleted them the other day, and sure enough, they're baa-aack! NOW
it won't even let me delete them.....aarrggghhh....

What did we do to get this stuff here, and how do we make them go
away??

Thanks, all!!

Mike

You are in the wrong group. This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98,
2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 from the Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook
Express (OE) support try posting in this newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com.microsoft,public.windoes.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

If this group isn't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:
