I have been reading some internet articles regarding the sighting of an intriguing phenomenon which is said to have appeared over the Thames at various times since the 1600s. Has anyone else heard about the "Thames Angel?" There are said to have been about 4 sightings this year (two more yet to go, according to history.) Any theories regarding what might be causing it? Photo trickery? Some kind of weather or atmospheric thing? There are some pics here: http://www.angelofthethames.com/ and an article on icsouthlondon

Curiouser and curiouser said Alice :p

While I am willing to accept that there are likely to be more things around us than the human range of senses are capable of percieving (human senses are very limited after all... you just ask a dog  )
I'm afraid that I myself was unable to see anything that I would consider convincing in that range of pictures.
I can't say wether it's genuine or not obviously.
But it does seem to me that perhaps people's wishes might be influencing their interpretations of what they're seeing.
Who knows.

I've never seen any ghosties where I drink, right on the bank of the Thames at Greenwich.

Maybe I ain't gettin' drunk enough, will have to work on it :D

I wonder whether there might be some kind of atmospheric peculiarity going on? The thing which struck me most in all the pics, is that the people are always looking somewhere other than at the "apparition." If there truly was anything to see, I would have thought that everyone would be oggling in the same direction at least. :D

Isn't there 2 more sightings to go?
Plenty of time for lots of practice I'm sure flops ;)

I'm a sceptic, although it is a fun read :) What does surprise me is the David Grant video - although the Slovak interview looks like it was a setup though?
