Odd Msg above Flash Drive file list

My first time using a USB flash drive on my Vista PC. After I copy say 9
files from my PC Hard Drive (C:) to a Flash Drive (L:) the Explorer window
shows the 9 files and they all seem to open just fine in whatever application
they use.

However, above the listing of 9 files in the Explorer window there is a line
that says: Unspecified (9). It is in a blue font with a thin blue line
extending for the right side paran all the way across to the right side of
Explorer window. If I click on the line is hides the 9 file names; if I
click it again, I can see the 9 file names. What is this line for and what
am I supposed to do with it (if anything)? Is it kind of like a folder
desgination?

The only thing I've seen similar to it wit Vista is if I'm copying files to
a CD or DVD and they first get stacked together as temp files waiting for me
to click the "burn" icon.

Surely I do not have to click the "burn" icon when copying files to a Flash
Drive? Right?

TIA for any help/guidance,
Rick

It works in all folders.
Right click an open space in the folder window and you'll see an option to
stack or group files. A variety of options there so I won't go into them
all.
Play with it a while and you'll see how it works. Better to do it in a
folder with lots of files.
