Odd Folder

I have a folder (that I created to temporarily put a
downloaded driver for a modem) that keeps on reappearing
(after a reboot) after I have deleted it. Has anyone ever
heard of this problem?

Note: the folder is totally emptied. I have tried changing
the folder name and deleting it but it still reappears
(with the original name too!). This is soooo strange.

I need to say that I had problems installing the driver
before, but it's installed now I think. Also, there is
another problem I just found out: Looks like there are two
of this modem program in the Add/Remove window that cannot
be removed. This is even more stranger than ever...Any
suggestions?
