Folder Keeps Re-Appearing after Deletion

I created a folder called 'New Folder' on the desktop and it now keeps
spontaneously reappearing on the desktop even after it has been deleted.
I am using XP Home Edition and create and delete New folders on the desktop
to dowload to all the time but this one keeps reappearing.

Anyone any ideas please on how to permantly delete this folder.

Hi Gazzz - Try Delete Invalid File, here:
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv.htm which handles invalid/UNC file/folder name
deleting, rather than the in use problem.
