While trying to investigate why a PC keeps shutting itself down
periodically, I found this message in the the Event Viewer in the
System section repeated constantly:
The name "PA :1d" could not be registered on the Interface
with IP address 192.168.0.8. The machine with the IP address
192.168.0.9 did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine.
We use static IP's, and I've verified that no PC is using the same IP
number as another.
Also, the PC in question is named "SUE2" on workgroup "PA", so I don't
get that name it's refering to.
Any recommendations on what this might mean?
Thanks!
