ODBC--call failed

I have a query that when run through a report gives me a ODBC--call failed
error. There is no other information and I know for fact that the connection
is still there. When I run the query from the query tab it runs fine. I
have another query that prompts for a location and it also fails. If you
take out the prompt and enter the location in the query it runs fine. I also
have other query's that do not give me this error. Any ideas what I can try?
I'm using Access 97 and have also tried 2003 with the same results.

Don't ya just hate that error message?! All it really means is that you
probably have a syntax error in the query so it fails to run on the SQL
Server side.

There is no pat answer as to what the syntax error is so you will have to do
more debugging on your own, but it might help if you post the SQL here so we
can see it.
