OCX Question

Excuse me for posting here but the Microsoft.public.access.activexcontrol
has
no posts except for mine and I'm not sure if I'll get a response form my
post there.
I'm using Access 2007.
I'm using the MonthView control on a form. And from my research the Month
View
control is in mscomtc2.ocx On my form Access reports this control's class
as: MSComCtl2.MonthView.2
Note the added 'l' in the class. Not sure if that has any bearing.
Anyway. The control doesn't display the week days and I can't find a setting
for this
and I can't seem to change any colors because any control properties for
colors has a different type of value
for the color as apposed to access 2007 color value. Every time I attempt to
paste color value
from another control into the color for the TitleBackColor of the MonthView
control I get an error.
How does one convert these color values or can someone someone point me to a
web site that can
help me with this?

Thanks,
James

James,

I tried this control with A2007 and I can change the TitleBackColor
(and others) property with no problems.

This is one of the controls that Microsoft disabled with Windows XP
Security Update KB960715, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957924
for details.

My copy is version 6.1.98.13 (although the Web site says the latest
version is 6.1.98.16). If your version is earlier than these then it
might be worth downloading the newer version.

The control's class also shows as MSComCtl2.MonthView.2 on my system
so I don't think that is an issue.

My version is 6.1.97.82.
I'm not familiar with downloading ocx files. Where do I go to
find the newer version, microsoft download center?

The Web site I mentioned has a download option. The problem is that
you must have Visual Basic 6 installed on your PC to install the new
versions. Contact me by email if you still have problems.
