Occasional freezing

My new XP Pro Toshiba laptop freezes on outlook and ie occasionally. When I
immediately open a windows explorer it unfreezes. anyone see that before?
 
Check for updated video and other drivers from Toshiba site.
Test your memory, memtest86+
