objective portion of resume

What do I put in the objective portion of my resume? Im filling out my resume
and I am not sure how to phrase the objective portion. Or if I should even
keep that section. Can someone help me?

I personally would advise ditching it. The objective of any résumé is to get
you the job you're applying for; often you need to tailor your résumé to the
specific job requirements, but you would also have to modify the objective
for each application if it is to be meaningful--and mostly they aren't,
being along the lines of "Get a challenging, satisfying job commensurate
with my abilities, offering opportunity for advancement, meaningful
responsibility, and adequate compensation." Isn't that what everyone wants?
