Object can not be found

I just loaded Outlook 2003 on a new computer. I am not importing any data
from my previous computer. When I hit send/recieve I get a message that
operation filed: object can not be found. I have read many suggestions and
nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Have you configured your mail profile and your mail account?

Yes, I am using Earthlink and I did the set up wizard.

I also did "test settings" and it says it was successful though I am not
recieving the test email. I have downloaded a service pack...I am at my wits
end on this one.
