O/S not found

I've recently added a new memory card to my computer and
now at times a screen will come up saying "Failed to
locate O/S". I'm running Windows XP. When I reboot,
usually Windows will start up. Can you tell me why I
recieve this messgae? Thank you for your help.

Jimmy, make sure that your IDE Ribbon cable to your Hard Drive is fully
seated in
Drive and Motherboard.
