O.S., IE6 & OE6 frozen & slow

My Win-xp Pro, IE6 & OE6 is always frozen & have to do the 3 keys reboot many times when using.
What are your advices to save all my configuring settings, drivers and other things before I do another
clean install of O.S. and what is your best way to re-install an O.S.?

My anti-virus and 4 spyware software's combined cannot eradicate them and decided to do the above.

TIA.

You dont really have to reinstall the OS. Just download autoruns from
http://www.sysinternals.com and disable any third party applications,
services, components listed under explorer tab and the internet explorer tab
of autoruns ensuring no IE or explorer windows are open. Reboot the system
and the system should work fine.

Try disabling other non critical startup items, services and drivers using
autoruns for faster computer performance. Ensure you dont mess with drivers
or critical services or your machine can bug check or will stop booting.

take care

Open Disk Defragmenter and click on Analyse. Select View Report and
click on Save As and Save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents
Folder and post a copy. Do this before running Disk Defragmenter as it
is more informative.

How much RAM memory? How large is your drive and how much free space?

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

You should be able to gather more information from Task Manager. With
the Processes tab open select View, Select, Columns and check the boxes
before Peak Memory Usage and Virtual Memory size. What are the figures
for those 4 processes using the largest amounts?

Do you leave your computer on 24/7?

What are the names of your anti-virus and anti-spyware programmes?

Hope this helps.

Thank You Gurpreet! Your advice is good and did fixed my problem. I disabled many .dll and .exe files
in Windows\system32 folder -- examples: yayxyaa.dll, fmbliyec.dll, iifec.dll, rrgwjnrr.dll, mnrfmuxa.dll
& lxrjd31s.exe, etc, etc. Is there a faster way to delete them? YES, I don't want them in my system ;o)

Thanks also to Gerry but I know it is not my PC that causing this new problem because I've upgraded
everything to the maximum that allowed in my motherboard; also, I've 2 huge internal hard drives + 2
more very huge external one. I can blame all those anti-spywares and anti-virus companies, they're the
one who planted and invaded my PC with their secret weapon of codes and put all kinds of junks to slow
down my very fast PC in the hope that I'll buy their software. I've tried most of their software and all can
ONLY detect their own junks in my system BUT and unless you buy their software.

I've also tried many FREE software's and all they did was to scan and scan every days and the same culprits
came out. They cannot kill it so it always returned back and forever the same thing.

Gurpreet understand our problem he show us the advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows
real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. Its uniquely powerful features will make
Process Monitor a core utility in our system troubleshooting and malware hunting toolkit. I'll not stop
hunting and cleaning them. I guess there're not much left and I would like to delete all of them from my
system if I could visually find them in Windows. I know they cannot come back and again because I've
installed a new software called Deep Freeze 6. This is my ONLY ONE weapon against all kinds of
intruders right now and hoping Microsoft will integrate this powerful utility in their Windows-8. When
that happen and surely many companies will close shop and those software programmers for intruders or
not will find a new job.

All The Best & Many Thanks Again!

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and

Thank you! Robear, you know me well I'm an old acquaintance of aumba.org but this time I tried doing it myself.
How? I just follow my old copy of HijackThis.log and delete everything what I considered not a genuine software
I recently installed. My 6 hard copy of the log became 5 now. Believe me - my PC is getting to normal behavior
now -- thanks to this nice News Group as everyone are happy to share their information.

I too did shared one -- because Deep Freeze-6 (DF) can only protect from intruders which are not in the system,
in other word; it secured the whole system and including all kinds of intruders already inside. Therefore; it is wise
to install DF immediately upon purchased of PC or integrate in our O.S.. DF is for people who heavily surf in the
Internet. Regular users on banking, commercial shopping, museum, .gov, .org and others -- no need to have DF
BUT watch out for ALL FREE download offers.

YES, I still got all the hunting tools aumba.org gave me before BUT each time is a different animal -- they hide
well and cleverly disgrace as valid files -- all around my system.

One comment on HiJackThis: I wish there is a "Disable" and "Enable" action so we can test it before final Delete action.

YES, your lastly GOOD advice is for people who don't built their own system ;o) I built my own except I find it's
too much hustle to load all my drivers and other things before final configuring. And YES, if nobody can help me
I already decided to Format my C: drive, clean install of O.S., so my DF can protect 100% well.

Any comment on DF?

Do you still have that "I will not download free software...!" sign taped to
your monitor? <eg>

Wow! You really have 6 or 7 sense ;o) YES, I've that sign before BUT now no more,
because of my DF software -- after reboot all or any malicious intruder just disappears.
This is good -- no need to scan & rescan looking for parasites.

I noticed your text wrap are under 80 characters -- see before it is well formatted now.
I set my text wrap at 111 characters long. My misspell slang word "hassle" were corrected.

I found it! Just Right click the file name and choose Delete. Very nice program.
