nvidia running low on cash?

I´m wondering...because it´s seems to me that it could be the only reason
why they don´t make good software anymore....

They have had many many months of beta testing of vista and there was an
official release of vista in november 2006 and NVIDIA STILL haven´t
provided with a stabile platform for their graphic cards! They even
launched a vista ready graphic card top of the line geforce 8800
series....but
NO proper driver has yet to be provided!..

Can´t they affort to pay salary to the programmers?
Have the good programmers left the sinking ship???

Nvidia doesn´t seem to listen to user feedback and there´s
absolute no response when contacting their support.....

They come with "improved" driver in 22 th. februay...and problems
bottle up.....they come with a beta driver (and yes one must be careful with
betas) and new problems bottle up....

So what is wrong with nvidia???

the goal is "100"...

Nvidia starts with the score 40... then comes "improved" driver 100.64
then the score is 35....new "improved" driver 100.65 and the score drops to
30...and
then beta driver 101.41 and the score plunges to 25.......you guys at
nvidia SUCK BIG TIME...!

Each time my new geforce 8800 gts 640 mb gets a driver from nvidia...hell
breaks loose..

The latest is that my (already functioning) tv tuner software, wintv2000
(and the beta, winvista -used
for all hauppauges tvtuner cards) stops working when launched ...
and the simple game in vista "chess titans"...no longer works....
well in fact, my toptuned and good working pc crashes!!

I really wish I could get at hold of a nvidia "technician" right now......
I want to see how much force is needed choking to the get the same blue
color like the smerfs in the head......

buying an expensive graphic card thats only
ready to be used with 100 % satisfaction, in the year 2011.

Mayby it´s time to warn friends and associates about NVIDIA and the missing
link...
the link to customer service and satisfaction over bought hardware.

Yes, NVIDIA dropped the ball on this one. I was an NVIDIA fan for a while,
but jumped to ATI when they ruled the roost with their 9700 and up series.
ATI used to have driver issues, until the Catalyst series of drivers. NVIDIA
started to make a comeback, but the Vista driver fiasco seems to be the
BIGGEST reason I will not recommend an NVIDIA card right now.

Hopefully, they can get it resolved ASAP.

a good rant but

1. Ati has no comparable offering, it keeps getting delayed over and over
again, at least you can boot to xp and actually use your videocard. Ati has
provided nothing to this point. They could very well be delaying over driver
problems as well.

2. It has been rumored for many months that video-drivers in vista were
going to be a pain to create... voila! It is so.

3. We are all terribly sorry the 600 dollar videocard your parents bought
you didn't work... it's called being an early adopter, stuff like this
happens all the time. Welcome to the club.

Does DRM demand bad video for all resolutions over 800 x 600?

With all the controversy surrounding DRM, I don't see it as lasting very
long. Neither does Steve Jobs, among MANY other technology big wigs.

Would I buy into the HD video if it was downsampled to 480p? No. I'd stick
with DVD. The manufacturers are shooting themselves in the foot with some of
the schemes they are coming out with. They are basically killing their own
technology.

As I understand it, it also has to be implemented on the software. So, if a
manufacturer wants to take advantage of the DRM schemes, they can include
the check on the DVD.
