Nvidia nforce problem

I was using Windows Me on an Athlon 2400 with Nvidia
video and everything was working fine. Then I "upgraded"
to XP and I am back to a flickering screen and a VGA --
not even SGVA! -- compatible card. I have downloaded the
latest drivers but my card still shows up as VGA. Can
anyone please suggest a solution? Thanks!

You downloaded the file (presumably from www.nvidia.com) but did you install
it?
