Windows2000 refuses to talk 32bit colour to my graphics
card.
Have IRQ 10 but suffering 16 colours.
installed MS service pack 4
installed drivers from gainward, rebooted and system
crashes at auto-login.
downloaded MS digitally signed drivers, same run-a-round
crashes at auto-login.
have uninstalled between driver setup/install.

All give instant freeze on applying 32bit colour.

Any resolve would be helpful.

First install from Win2000 cd - no graphics
servicepack 3 - no graphics (online update)
Servicepack 4 - no graphics (network install version)

each time, installed from Gainward cd uninstalled between
servicepacks re-installs make no difference.

- no graphics -- indicates base vga 16 colour at 640*480

your reference to detonators is (wdm) or Nvidia perfomance
drivers.

Until I upgraded( "full format - destroyed everything"
from fat32&Win98 to NTFS - using Win2000 setup).
Win98 Gainward drivers worked flawless.
