Nvidia Geforce 6600 output missing color

Hi all,

Just inserted an Geforce 6600 into my HTPC to generate less heat than
my 8800.
However i have a weird problem.

When my computer boots the bios image, and the windows startup logo is
in colors - but as soon as windows is booted the signal is all black
and white??

As i see it, it can only be a software problem as there is no problem
with colors at the bios and startup screen?

Anny suggestions?

black/white again?
More than open for suggestions!

Did you follow NVidea instructions; which usually say to uninstall all
nvidea in Add/Remove, then boot into vga mode, prior to shutting down and
installing the new hw and drivers

Did everything Nvidia suggests on their site, no changes, when i
reinstalled my 8800 i got colors again, but as soon as i switch to
6600 i get black/white again.

Didn't wanna use any more time on it, so pulled it out, threw it away
and inserted an Radeon X1800XL instead...

Just odd - using google i could see that a lot of other persons have
the same problem using the newest drivers from Nvidia...

Thanks for you're help all.

not sure what the problem was short of a bad card. but if the 8800 is to
hot I'll take it of your hands.
