NVidia FX1100 + Dual NEC Display "Sleep" problem

I recently upgraded to a Nvidia FX1100 video card,
driving two NEC MultiSync FP displays. My problem is
that the two displays now do not go to sleep (low power
mode). My previous graphics card worked fine putting the
monitors to sleep, and yet when I replaced a Viewsonic
monitor for one of the NECs (w/ FX110 card), the
Viewsonic went to sleep.

I have been in touch with both PNY (made the FX1100 card)
and NEC, and neither one seems to be able to help. They
are both pointing fingers at each other saying it's
something wrong with the other's stuff, so I'm caught in
the middle.

I've searched and searched the web for possible answers.
I've tried all sorts of configuration changes. The only
way I can get the NEC monitors to sleep with the FX1100
card is to: 1) put the computer to sleep (it's a
firewall and printer server, so I don't want to put the
computer fully to sleep), and 2) If I tell XP the second
monitor is not attached, the second monitor will go to
sleep.

All drivers are the latest (I've tried an older FX1100
driver too). I've cleaned out everything I can find that
referes to the old graphics card both on the hard drive
and in the registry. I've tried in the BIOS both DPMS
and Blank+V/H Sync.

FWIW, I did find the following reference in a Linux
readme file for the NVidia card, which describes my
problem with both monitors (as opposed to just the 2nd
one below):

o DPMS and TwinView
DPMS Modes "suspend" and "standby" do not work
correctly on a second CRT when using TwinView. The
screen becomes blank instead of the monitor being set to
the requested DPMS state.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Does anyone know
where to find a decent NVidia forum I can post to also?
I've checked around a little, but not found any that are
very active.

Thanks in advance!

Three thoughts. First, update the computer BIOS. Second, make sure all
settings in the BIOS and Power Management/Display Settings are correct.
Finally, try the latest drivers for the monitors and for the video card.
