Hi NG,
I have some trouble installing WinXP SP1 (German) with RIS. I want to deploy
80 XW4000 HP Workstations with Nvidia Quadro4 200/400NVS. By default in
WinXP SP1 setup the driver for this card is disabled (with ; in front).
I followed the instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314479 to
add third party OEM Drivers to my installation.
But this does not lead me to success. I found another article that explains
howto add newer drivers to a WinXP Installation (It's german:
http://www.winhelpline.info/daten/index.php?shownews=486). I removed
everthing that looks like NVidia Driver. After that the installation did not
know anything about Nvidia cards. But it also didn't read the driver
information about NVidia from the driver directory (the one created in
Q314479).
So I enabled the logging with this as a result:

What does "PNF not created" mean? Do I have a language problem? I have
downloaded the driver from Windows Update Catalog. As you can see the setup
does recognize my card as NVIDIA Quadro4 200/400NVS and it also knows where
the .inf-File is.
I now think about to modify the drvindex.inf to read another .cab-File (the
one from the WHQL-Driver).
Hope someone can point me to the right direction.
