I have two files by this name in the C:\windows\temp and C:\windows\TEMP
directories. When I try to delete I get a messge they are in use - close the
program using and then delete. I don't know what program could be using these
"empty" files.

By the way why are there two temp directories

Hi Gail,
Do you have Norman Anti-Virus scanner installed on your system?.

Norman sandbox

Nass commented on the files already. The folders should not be able to
exist in the same directory when they have the same name regardless of
capitalization. Suggest you run check disk: Open My Computer, right
click on C:, properties, tools tab and select error checking.

thnaks to both Ron and Nass. I do not have Norman software but did get help
from my firewall provider. The only way to delete this file was via safemode
which i did. I also cid the check disk operation suggested by Ron and fixed
the duplicate temp directory issue.
