Numbers in a Query

I have a query that selects several records that I then want to allocate to
different groups by filling in manually another column that also appears in
the query. When I start putting in the group number in this column I use the
arrow down key between records and after a few number access will try and
second guess me as to the order of numbers. Is there any way to turn this
function of access off?

No, this is a feature that was designed to help you work better....< s >

However, as you've discovered, many of us don't like that the program
doesn't read our minds each time and do it the way we want. < g >.

MS has heard from many people about this feature... usually not good words.
