Numbering not working

I am helping out a friend here, and I am stumped.

Want to print a workbook, numbering all the printed sheets, comes to 54
pages. Well after selecting the entire workbook and adding the "Page 1 of ?"
to the footer, it is not working, each worksheets starts with "1 of 54".

Any ideas? or help?

If you're setting up the footer manually, don't do the typing of those values (1
or 54).

Instead use the icons for Page and total pages (on the custom footer dialog).

It should look something like this when you're done:
Page &[Page] of &[Pages]

The &[] represent the things that you want.

Right-click on a sheet tab and "Select all sheets"

Add your footer of page 1 of ?

Ungroup the sheets.

Now try the entire workbook and print preview.

Sorry guys, still not working.

first and second worksheet say "1 of 54" the thrid starts "1 of 54, then 2
and so on.
