number one

On my keyboard, the number one doesn't work anymore,
except when I use it in combination with the Microsoft-
flag key.
All the other numbers work normally, when NumLock is
activated.
The problem started suddenly, perhaps when I made a
combination of keys. My computer runs with Windows XP
Home editon.
Can anybody help me ?

try uninstalling keyboard, and reinstallin the drivers
