Hi All,
I am facing problem logon my Windows 2003 Server with
user limit problem, I am having 2 windows 2003 server
with one Domain Controller and another one providing
remote desktop service for users, I found that there is a
limit of 3 users logon only to the second server. May I know
if this is a general limitation of windows 2003 server?
As we have purchased more than enough license for ourselve.
Anyone know about this? Thank You!

No, this is not a general limitation.

Can you post the exact error message that you get?
And the EventID and Source from the EventLog, regarding licensing.

This could be your server CALs (check in Control Panel - Licensing),
or you Terminal Server CALs (check in Terminal Server Licensing
Manager).

Dear Vera,

The exact message showing is
"The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections."

I couldn't find the eventlog regarding this error, which section of the log
should i look into from the event viewer.

From the Products View of the Licensing manager (domain controller), I found
that
the status was Per Device pr Per User Purchased showing 30
Per Device or Peruser Allocated showing 2.
Per Server Reached showing 16.

Anything wrong with it? Thank you!

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem correctly, but what you
report below is the OS licensing situation on the domain
controller, right?
But your problem is with Terminal Services on a member server, I
believed?

Can you check both the OS licensing and the TS licensing situation
on the Terminal Server? And also the EventLog on the Terminal
Server?
And are you sure that you installed terminal Services on the
Terminal Server? Or did you only enable Remote Desktop for
Administration? That gives you only 2 + 1 connections, and it
doesn't need a TS CAL at all (but does need a server CAL).

Also check the number of allowed connection in Administrative tools
- terminal Services Configuration - rdp-tcp connection -
properties.
Maybe it is hardcoded to 2 connections? If so, change it to
unlimited.
