Number Format

I type 93049044627327087000052. I get 9.3049E+22 in the cell. Can you please
tell me how to format the cell so I can see the whole number in cell?

Your number is so large that Excel can only display it in scientific
notation. To see the entire number as entered enter an apostrophe as the
first character and follow that with your number. Excel will treat the entry
as a text entry and not as a numeric one.

Change the format from General to Number. With the cell selected, click
Format >> Cells. On the Number tab, change the category to Number. Set the
number of decimal places, whether or not to show commas, then click OK. Widen
the column enough to show the whole value.

Hope this helps,

Hutch

But as a number that would only give 15 significant figures. To get the
rest it needs to be text, as shown in another reply.

You're right, my bad. BAKERSMAN, please ignore my earlier reply and refer to
Kevin's.
