Num Lock stays on when hibernating!

When I hibernate my PC the number lock light stays on!

While this is obviously not the end of the world - it is annoying since my
PC is in my bedroom and the num lock light is supprisingly bright.

I should perhaps mention that this is with a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia
Keyboard (the lights are on the reciever) and I'm using the latest Microsoft
64 bit IntelliType Pro drivers (v5.5)

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes I too have this problem. Even when switched off, the Num Lock light
stays on. I have no answer.

This isn't unusual, in many cases the keyboard remain powered when the
system is off to allow a certain key-combination to power the system on
again.

In some cases you'll be able to find a BIOS entry that controls this
behaviour (don't look for numlock, it will usually be under power
management or sometimes even wake-up events)

I have been having the same kind of problem.
When the system goes to sleep, it will not wake up.
You have to manually turn off computer and then restart.
I am looking for solutions. I think it has to do with compatibility issues
between the video driver and windows vista.

Yeah, this is very common with the nVidia cards, I've had no trouble
with Intel or ATi graphics cards. I struggled with my Vista
certified, DX10 8800GTX for quite a while until nVidia got some good
beta drivers that allow for hibernation/sleep.
Unfortunately, they seem to break them in some rev's too, like the
158.18 they just released.
