Ntvdm.exe Error

I was running Fix-It Defrag and this error keeps popping
up:"ntvdm.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows." Is this something to do with virtual dos machine
and does it have to do with 16 bit apps? I don't know if
it is causing major problems or not? Trying to find a
little help,just self-taught here,so break it down for an
old man,thanks

NTVDM is the NT virtual dos machine that emulates a dos machine (effectively
fooling the dos program into thinking it has a direct access to hardware and
provides autoexec.bat/config.sys environment). It is often used in running
16-bit apps.

If Fix-It Defrag is 16-bit, I would strongly question running it on an
NT-based machine.
