I have a bunch of files beginning as shown above on my "C" (system) drive. I
realize that they are files referring to the installation of the upgrades.
MSFT says thar the upgrades can't be uninstalled nor would I want to do so
anyway.

Do I need to keep these files or can I just delete them?

Those are the uninstall files for the updates you have installed and
they may be deleted:

If you are absolutely sure that you will never need to uninstall any of the Updates, then those folders can be deleted. If deleted then none of the Updates will be able to be removed via Add/Remove Programs.

Some Updates, not listed in Add/Remove Programs, can be removed by running the file in the spuninst sub-folder.
