NtpClient - what is it?

I'm receiving this error message in my WinXP Pro event viewer. What does it mean
"The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 29 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time. "

It's exactly what the error message indicates; the service that acquires
the time of day from an internet time source (using the NTP protocol).
Check the internet time source setting by double-clicking on the time
displayed in the System Notification Area (normally extreme right end of
the taskbar unless you've moved the taskbar) and click on the Internet
Time tab in the Date and Time Properties panel that opens.
