NTP Server

Does anyone know if Windows XP is capable of getting its
time from a NTP server and if so how can this be done? I
assumed there would be a tab on the clock page for this
but there is none. Of course there are a million utilites
that can do this but I would like to use XP to do this if
possible.

Thanks

Jim

jim,

double click on your clock at the system tray.
click the internet time tab
click on automatically synchronize with an internet time server.
click on apply to "save" this setting
click on update now to synch your computer with the indicated server on the
left field of the button.

the two default servers: time.windows.com and time.nist.gov are ntp servers.
however, if you prefer, you can also use another ntp server of your choice.
but so far, i am using time.windows.com and it seems to do well and fine.

i hope this helps.
