Ran virsus scan this morning. AVG reports a change to ntoskrnl.exe
Questions:
1) Is this serious?
2) If not serious, what type of change?/one,two/multiple?
3) What type of applications/programs...........etc...,make changes to:
ntoskrnl.exe?

Hi Mavic,
It is normal if AVG didn't tell that this file is infected, so no problem.
If you installed updates recently or installed other applications that can
change the System files a bit, so it is normal, but try to make sure AVG
doesn't have a doze and scan from an on-line scanner like Ca or Sophos.

there was an update a few days ago that DID update that file, so you're
ok. It had to do w/ fixing issues related to the TZ (time zone)
environment variable. It should be at version 5.1.2600.3051 now, in both
windows\system32 and windows\driver cache\i386
