Hi folks,
Like many other folks I have had a "ntldr missing" message and couldn't
start Windows. The problem has been solved by copying the needed files
from a diskette but I would like to understand the possible causes as I
don't want to see that happen again.
- No special activity (update / installation) occured in the week
before the message happened.
- The computer is in a company network with an efficient anti-virus
system. No game no connection to potentially risky web sites
- XP, SP2, Office 2003 , all with the latest updates.
Any idea about what may have caused the failure? Our Sysop told me that
over the past 6 months 3 other PCs hat the same problem.
Thanks
Francois
