Using Windows XP Pro and sometimes I get the message on the boot screen
NTLDR MISSING......

I have two hard drives and after disconnecting the second hard drive (and
setting the C drive to Master) the computer boots into Windows okay. It has
been many months since this last happened but has happened two or three
times during the past twelve months.

Both hard drives (Western Digital) appear to be in good order - I use
Western Digital's HDD Health monitor and this has not shown any problems.

What are the possible causes of this "error" message?

Thanks.

I had this on one a few weeks ago. I tried this and about four other
"fixes" I found on the internet. None worked. I tried a Windows repair
and it didn't find a version of Windows on the drive.
