NTLDR IS MISSING

I HAVE RE INSTALLED WINDOWS XP AND IT WONT BOOT FROM HARD
DRIVE KEEPS SAYING NTLDR MISSING.

I HAVE COPIED FILES FROM CD TO HARDDRIVE STILL NOTHING
AND IT HAD WINDOWS XP ON PC WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT NOT SURE
IF THE SELLERS HAVE UPGRADED AT SOME POINT.

CANT YOU HELP GOING ROUND BEND.

When I get this message, It is usually a bad IDE cable to
the HD or a non bootable floppy in A: drive. I hope this
helps

NTLDR Missing
Many times this error is caused when the computer is attempting to boot from a
non-bootable floppy disk or CD-ROM. First verify that no floppy diskette is in
the computer, unless you are attempting to boot from a diskette
