While the BIOS is a POSSIBLE cause, it's very unlikely. Most likely, one of
the 3 main files necessary to boot are missing, or the boot sector of the
partition is corrupted. These files reside on the root of the C: drive, and
are the files NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM, and BOOT.INI.
So there were no changes made, nothing installed or uninstalled, the machine
was just rebooted and this message appeared?
If you have access to another 2000 machine, we can create a 2000 boot floppy
to get booted back up. If not, we will need to boot from the Windows 2000
CD and go into Recovery Console and copy the files that way.
