i accidentaly converted my win 98 partition to a ntfs. now i need to change it back to fat 32. Would this help
1. back up everything from the win 98 disk. (meaning i would copy EVERYTHING in another folder in another partition
2. Reformat the 98 disk to fat 32
3. return all the back up files to the newly formatted dis

is that a good plan? PLEASE HEL

thank you for your time = )

Hi,

Should work, but it's not reformat, but rather remove the existing NTFS
partition, then create a new FAT32 one and format before returning the data.

i've got a little problem...the partition that i'm trying to remove contains the system volume (cause it says 'system') . What should i do?

Hi,

As long as you are not running or booting from it, it shouldn't be a
problem. "System" is probably just a label. If you are booting from it,
dynamic conversion back to FAT32 would require using Partition Magic. It is
the only product I know of that can do this backwards conversion.
