I have many small drives I use for booting to troubleshoot or install
stuff... (1-4GB) but mostly I have 32 and 64GB USB thumb drives/memory
sticks. I generally use FAT32 for compatibility reasons - but have used
NTFS on a few of the 32/64GB ones for transferring my larger video files
around.
Everything is optional - or more strictly put - done in accordance to your
needs. ;-)
