NTFS & FAT32

I was wondering about these two filing systems. . .On my computer I am
using NFTS, but on my external HD (used as a backup) it is FAT32. ..
..is this ok?. . .thanks, Keith

that's fine NT can recognize either

win9x can only use fat/32

Yes. NTFS and FAT32 are both merely file storage schemes. Once a file is
retrieved from storage, there's no difference whether the system is NTFS, FAT32,
FAT16 or whatever. That's why an NTFS system has no problem reading and writing
to a floppy that uses FAT12.

NTFS is better at not being damaged by sytem crashes, I have found.


That's true. With NTFS it is a bit more difficult to get deleted files
back, however.
