NTFS and bad sector marker

can anyone tell me how the NTFS bad sector marker are stored in the filing
system and how I can find it for a particular sector?

Andrew,

With NTFS, the $BadClus file contains this information. $BadClus is one of
the NTFS metadata files. It is not a file that you can see using Windows
Explorer.
