ntbackup in XP Pro

I am the administrator on my computer. In fact mine is the only user profile.
If I run ntbackup.exe for immediate use, it works fine. If I try to set up
a Scheduled Task, I am told I don't have authority, and the the task will not
run. I am backing up files and System settings to an external hard drive. Is
this a Backup problem or a Scheduled Task problem? Any ideas?

Got a password?

I have set up the profile with no password - none is required to log onto
Windows. During the scheduling process for the backup, I am offered an
opportunity to enter a password. I leave it blank and I am then asked if "I
am sure", etc. It is after that I get the error message. So then I tried
entering a password, and the system appears to remember the password, but I
still am errored-out on lack of authority. good question, tho.

You have to give the accont you are going to run the task as a password (to
logon with and to use in the scheduled task.)
