NTBackup Catalogs

Hello,

I use NTBackup to backup files to a tape drive. I accidentally removed one
of the Media Catalogs on the Restore tab. How to I re-catalog this tape?
When I insert this tape now, nothing happens.

I know the catalogs are store in C:\Docs Set\Application
Data\MS\Catalogs.....but how can I reset all the catalogs? I tried deleting
all the files in this folder, but the catalogs are still there.

Thanks,
Scallica

Insert the relevant tape, go to the tools menu in NTBackup, and you should
see an option to catalog it.

Nope. There is only an option to catalog from a file.

Did you get your catalog problem resolved?

Please respond with any suggestions...

Curtis,

I posted this question a few months ago. Someone gave me an answer, but I
can't remember it. Anyways, I accidentally deleted a tape catalog and I
cannot seem to re-catalog it. I know that catalogs are stored in C:\Docs &
Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\NTBackup but I deleted
all of these and the NTBackup catalogs are still present. There is ANOTHER
location where catalogs are stored, but I don't remember where they are.

Does anyone know the answer to his mystery????

Thanks,
Scallica
