Has anyone experianced issues where backing up files from
one server to another and to disk instead of tape? My job
sporadically will stay in "Running state". I have several
Windows 2000 servers experiancing this issue.

I've used the NTbackup included in 2003 and it is lousy. I think the 2000
ver is similar. It ran from a schedule once and would ignore any schedules
from that point. I had other issues with so I downloaded trial of Backup
Exec. 9.1 and it seems to work well so I purchased it.

Thanks for the assistance. It certainly does have some
inconsistancy. However, we have had experiance with
virtually all backup solutions, and they all have issues.

What does the backup log report?

Within the NTBackup itself, as well as within the profile
where the ID being used for security. I did however,
determine, I think, it was related to anotehr admin
changing security and folder permissions on the
destination where the backup was going to.
