My computer has been shutting down over the past few days due to this virus. I have been trying to fix this but I can't seem to get it. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks.
it won't be called that. whatever it is it sounds similar to the blaster worm that was about a few years ago. to stop it restarting your PC, go to START -> RUN -> "SERVICES.MSC" -> double click "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" -> click recovery -> Change first, second and subsequent failures to "Take no action" -> click OK.
That should stop the restarting. then go HERE and run a virus and spyware scan. (even if you have your own AV installed) let that scan run and see what it finds.
