I get a message by NT AUthoruty\System that the pc will shut down in one
minute.
I have downloaded diagnostic and repair tools from microsoft, but the
problem has not be solved. I have also scanned the pc for viruses but nothing
has been found.
I am running windows 2000 pro and the pc is connected to a LAN.

Cherry:

There are *many* causes of a NT shutdown message as you have received. However, to help
diagnose the problem you have to state the EXACT error message that is shown within the
shutdown notification window.

Also note that you can stop the shutdown process by going to...
Start --> run
execute; shutdown -a
